SAT Critical Reading Preparation

College-bound students may wish to begin taking the SAT – Critical Reading section early in their secondary career, and set specific score goals each year to ensure that they attain the score desired to be a competitive student for the college of her or his choice.  For instance, if one wants to score a 700 by the beginning of 12th grade, it is MUCH easier to do so if one discovers that they are scoring a 400 in 8th grade, rather than waiting and scoring a 400 in 11th grade.  Developing sophisticated reading skills takes time, and is worth planning for well in advance of one’s senior year.
